Vertical monobore subsea trees have been in production for more than 30 years. OneSubsea has been advancing the technology since then, including the design and provision of the world's first 15,000-psi subsea tree, a vertical monobore tree, in 2000.
Features and benefits
- Production valves are located vertically above the tubing hanger in the main valve body.
- Production bore is located concentric to the system, with the annulus offset; traditional vertical systems feature the annulus through the hanger, while a system using a tubing spool has the annulus routed around the hanger.
- These trees can be retrieved without disturbing the completion.
